Health Plans that Contract with SMSC
To best serve patient's medical needs, we have a wide variety of contracts with major insurance carriers. To see if your insurance is currently contracted with the Hospital, call our pre-registration line at (831) 477-2217 or click here.
Your Financial Responsibilty
Even if you have insurance coverage, any remaining patient liabilty or non-covered services remain your responsibility to pay. After verifying your insurance coverage, you will be contacted by a Financial Services Representative regarding the estimated amount due. If the services are not covered by insurance, or if the amount due from you is large, you will be asked for a deposit at the time of admission. For your convenience we accept VISA/MC/DISCOVER cards as well as cash, check or money orders.
We do not make extended payment arrangements. We require that all balances are paid in full within 30 days of billing or after insurance payment.
**If you meet certain income requirements you may be eligible for a government-sponsored program or for financial assistance from the hospital. Please contact the Business Office at (831) 460-6044 for more information.**
