Your Room
Rooms are assigned based on the type of medical care you require and room availability.
Your room is equipped for your comfort and safety. Because we are more than just a hospital, our rooms reflect our committment to creating a personal environment to aid in your care.
Besides the normal hospital room features (adjustable bed, call button, bathroom emergency bell) we offer the little things that will make your stay more comfortable.
Our rooms are spacious, each one is a 500 square foot mini-suite:
- Private Bathroom
- Direct Dial Telephone
- Television/VCR
- Sofa Bed
- Desk
- Dining Area
- Terry Cloth Robe
- Private Balconey
- Mini refrigerator stocked with your favorite juices
- Personal comfort items (tooth paste, shampoo, soap)
- Room Service is available 24 hours per day
Our Perinatal patients will enjoy the in room roman tubs that can be used during the labor process.
Besides beautiful rooms, we provide some of the best nursing care in California - the kind of excellent treatment that you have come to expect from Sutter Health.

Visitors
We know that family and friends will want to see you while you are a patient. Because the recovery of all patients is our primary concern, we ask that you remind visitors of a few simple rules:
Visiting Hours Are From 9 AM to 9 PM
Remember, you can decide whether you want visitors. Let our staff know if you want any restrictions placed on yor visitors. However, if you wish, a family member or friend is welcome to spend the night in your room. The sofa beds convert easily into a bed.

Mail, Flowers and Balloons
Mail addressed to you at the hospital will be delivered to your room. It should be addressed to your name and room number at:

Santa Cruz, CA 95065
Any mail received after your discharge will be forwarded to your home address. If you write a letter, a staff person will be happy to mail it for you.
Flowers will be delivered to your room.
Latex rubber baloons are discouraged in the Hospital as we are a latex sensitive environment. Mylar balloons are preferred.
